Keane, Alternatif Piano-Rock dengan Rasa Musik 'Sedep-Sedep Sedih'

Anjirrr sebenernya uda pengen nulis postingan ini dari jaman kapan tau. E....ternyata baru sekarang ketulis, entah karena kepengen pembaca engeh ada band sekeren ini or well yeah, sedikit banyak kepengaruh ama Icha (yang suka baper ngait-ngaitin lagu ama kehidupannya) atau si Febry yang tiep malam minggu rutin memposting tema musik buat mengusir kegalauannya *kemudian ditabok. Oke, di sini label review musik kudu segera gue tambahkan.

Jadi.....gimana nih pembukaannya?? Yes, gue seneng banget ama band piano-rock asal Inggris Raya sono yang berlabelkan KEANE. Gue sukaaaaa...sukaaa banget ama lagu-lagunya, terlepas dari tampang vokalisnya yang menurut gue : kok-agak-agak-mirip-ke-Wayne Rooney ya?.....*sungkem ame Thomas Oliver Chaplin. Tapi, lepas dari itu, gue amat sangat rela memberikan standing applause tiep kali ngedenger iringan piano alternatif...yang walo piano namun tetep ada nuansa nge-beat-nya gitu. Gimana yah...kelen dengerin sendiri aja deh lagu-lagunya. Beberapa diantaranya juga udah amat sangat terkenal dan sering diputer buat soundtrack-soundtrack acara TV tertentu.

Ha...haa...

Sejak kapannya gue suka KEANE, keknya antara pertengahan masa kuliah deh--dimana salah satu lagunya itu jadi kenangan antara gue dengan Pak Suami (ciye...). Waktu itu aku sedang dalam masa perjalanan dengan bus Sumber Alam karena moda transportasi yang kugunakan bolak-balik Bogor-Prembun cuma itu--pilihannya. Dan...pas tengah-tengah malem ngecekin notif FB...e ada komennya si Pak Suami yang waktu itu masih gombal gambil, ngeramain statusku (yang masih labil) bareng rival-rival yang ingin memenangkan hati gue, hahhaha...Dan malem itu tuh cuman bisa kebawa senyum karena ditemani sama lagunya Try Again punya Keane..... (padahal di liriknya di kereta malem, tapi gue pakenya bis Sumber Alam, jiaaahhh).

Dan sebenernya album Keane yang aku suka tuh kebanyakan 2004, 2006, 2008-an gitu deh...E masa SMP-SMA berarti ya? Tapi de facto-nya baru kupantengin pas uda kuliah. Agaaak too old kah seleraku??? Tapi engga juga denk...lagu-lagu mereka long last kabeh kok.

Jadi dari sekian lagu, yang paling aku bener-bener hapalin dan hayatin dalem ati itu terdiri dari :

Hamdalahnya dulu sempet donlod versi gretongannya di staffa band..Jadi 1 album full gitu terus ane denger-dengerin dengan cukup intens, e akhirnya syuukaaa.. Hmmm interpretasiin ga ya...tapi takut salah (skill terjemahan gue masih acak adut). Jadi liriknya tu kek gini :

Pas diceki-ceki ke gugle translate kok kayak serialnya Shrek sih...ahhh....Tapi gue yakin ini semua pasti ada pesan moralnya...Gue interpretasikan lagi ke ilmu awam gue bahwa ini tentang semacem kisah kekuasaan gitu kali ya? Di yutub adaaaa....tapi yang konser live, dimana gue lebih menyarankan untuk mendengarkan yang rekaman asli cdnya ajah....klo live kan kadang suaranya pecah ya...

2. Bend and Break

Gue membayangkan inti dari lagu ini tuh kayak istilah gombal-gombalannya jaman sekarang : Menua Bersama.....(bener ga yah). Tapi gue menangkap kalau makna lagunya dalemmm bener meski diiringi dengan piano yang lagi-lagi ada efek elektroniknya.

Anjir baper baper baperrrr..... kalo dengerin lagu mellow-mellow kek ini. Gilaaakk perpaduan antara piano, drum, ame gitar pleus suara sang pokalis yang to deep bisa-bisa bikin mewek kalo didengerin pas tengah malem pukul 00.00.

Kembali ke ocehan di atas..ini lagu ada kenangannya. Trus pas bangetlah klo diputer pas lagi memandang ke luar jendela dari kaca sebuah kereta....ciyeee...

Kalo ditelaah dari musiknya..kesannya kita dibawa ke keadaan yang begitu surem nan dramatis...tapi entah kenapa gue suka...Lagunya bikin baper aselik...Kalo liat MV-nya ...e ternyata beneran storynya rada surem...ceki-ceki langsung deh..biar gapenasaran.

6.  Put it Behind You

Yang ini totally ngebeat walo kalo dinyanyiin pake mulut yang belon ngerti tekniknya kayak gue bakalan cape di bait pertama hahahhaha...Lagu ini diciptakan oleh Rice-Oxley (sang pianis) untuk Richard Hughes (drummer) yang bercerita tentang putusnya Hughes dengan pacarnya beberapa tahun lalu.

Ini lebih main ke perasaan deh cara ngebawainnya. Soalnya musiknya dari pelan, lama-lama ada beatnya gitu meski masih tetep dengan cara yang bisa dibilang mellow. Dulu jamannya masih ngekos, puter lagu ini kenceng-kenceng pakek speaker rasanya kok keren yaa...(kemudian dibatin tetangga, hahah).

Walo backsound musiknya rada berisik, tapi permainan liriknya bagus, ditambah ada efek-efek mistik (kalo kata gue) di tengah-tengah...tapi overall, perpaduannya bikin gue betah mengulang dan mengulang lagi.

E menurut info, ni lagu dapet award sebagai lagu terbaik dari Q Best of 2008...*keplok-keplok. Liriknya juga enak banget dihayatin pakek speaker yang ngebass of course.
